Since my childhood I became fascinated by animation. My infatuation with cartoon-watching went beyond being an enchanted audience to creating my own characters and scenarios. My parents noticed and encouraged my illustration abilities, although, a couple of times, I got in trouble at school for creating comic strips about the unbearable headmaster.
As my drawing skills were developing, I acquired a reputation for caricaturing people and drawing comics. Then, at the age of 12, my father brought home an amiga computer, along with Disney animation studio. The first animation program released by Disney on personal computers…
I remember devouring the manual from end to end and never stopped animating that summer. The ability to add motion to my illustrations giving them a magical life of their own was captivating. I knew then: an animator is what I wanted to be.
I found this amazing demonstration of Disney animation studio…
Sadly I don’t have any of the animation I created back then. But I still remember the joy and the excitement of being able to animate, this i will never forget.
A selection of animated identity logos, intros and spots I’ve created for production companies, organizations and friends.
